Description

The RxMx is a vactrol-based six-input, three-output macro low pass gate and signal crossfader, after Grant Richter's idea of applying the cadavre exquis to modular synthesis. Six low pass gates share one LEVEL and one STRIKE: CHANNEL picks which of them they drive, and RADIATE turns on the channels next to it, up to all six at once, so the mix runs from one source to six under voltage control.

Key features

  • Six vactrol low pass gates with input attenuators and drive lamps
  • CHANNEL and RADIATE to select and spread the driven channels, each with its CV inputs
  • LEVEL and STRIKE, with the slow, organic response of a low pass gate
  • Outputs A (channels 1 and 2), B (3 and 4) and C (5 and 6), A and C normalled into B
  • AUX A and AUX C inputs to chain mixes; an expansion header for the DPO or the FXDf
  • Retired
