Programmable Spectral Processor Model 296t

A sixteen-band spectral processor after the Buchla 296: sixteen bandpass filters, labelled 0 to F, each with an attenuator slider and its own audio output, an envelope follower output and a local program input. Signals enter the even, odd or all bands; attenuated and programmed outputs come out as even, odd and all, and comb filter outputs give the even and odd bands unattenuated. Program control sweeps through the bands and sets their width under voltage control. Spectrum transfer applies the even bands' envelopes to the odd bands or the reverse, with pre-emphasis, for vocoding. Part of the Buchla & Tiptop Audio 200t series, made under licence from Buchla.
