Wiard Wogglebug
Random voltage generator after Grant Richter's Wogglebug
Panel · 71.1 × 128.5 mm
Description
The Wiard Wogglebug is Make Noise's first Wogglebug, made with Wiard's permission after Grant Richter's design, itself after Buchla's Source of Uncertainty: a voltage controlled clock, a sample and hold and two vactrol lag processors give stepped, smooth and woggling random voltages, while the Woggle circuit chases the Smooth one, kicked by the clock. Its two VCOs and their digital ring modulation come out at the panel.
Key features
- Stepped, Smooth and Woggle CVs
- Heart IN injects a signal at the heart of the system, balanced by Chaos Balance
- Smooth VCO, Woggle VCO and Ring Mod outputs, with an external Ring Mod input
- Clock rate and chaos under voltage control, an external clock input, a clock output and random gate bursts
- Retired, replaced by the 10 HP Wogglebug
