Drezno II
Binary conversion komputor II
Panel · 61 × 128.5 mm
Description
The input and output front end of the Leibniz Binary Subsystem, in 12 HP: an analog to digital converter turning a CV or audio signal into eight bits, each a gate, and a digital to analog converter turning eight bits back into a voltage. On its own it waveshapes signals through their binary code; linked by the ribbon cable, other Leibniz modules sit between its halves. Higher resolution than the original Drezno, ranges calibrated to the chromatic scale.
Key features
- ADC INPUT, GAIN and OFFSET sliders lit by their bi-colour LED, ADC CLOCK (internal near 2 MHz)
- Eight BIT OUTPUTS and the ADC ACTIVITY MAP's eight yellow lamps
- Eight BIT INPUTS, LINK normalling them to the Leibniz data at the back
- DAC OUTPUT with its GAIN and OFFSET sliders, DAC CLOCK (normalled to the Leibniz clock)
- DAC RANGE: HIGH (256 semitones, over 20 Vpp) or LOW (128)
