Dual LFO/VCO
Two oscillators in three ranges, from 20 minutes a cycle to 10 kHz
Panel · 40.6 × 128.5 mm
Description
An upgrade of the NLC thru-hole dual LFO and dual VCO: two oscillators after the dual VCO, each switched between three ranges: 15 Hz to 10 kHz (VCO), about 1 minute a cycle to 25 Hz (MID), and down to 20 minutes a cycle (LOW). Both have a CV input with its attenuating knob and a sync input; the sync is quite hard, trying to ground the timing capacitor for a moment, and at slow LFO rates it works more like a wave-shaper. The outputs are sine, stepped, square and triangle; the stepped outputs are sample and holds of the sine waves, each clocked by the other oscillator, with no external clock input.
Key features
- Per oscillator: FREQ and CV knobs; SYNC and CV in; STEP, SINE, TRI and SQR out
- A MID / VCO / LOW range toggle per oscillator, 15 Hz to 10 kHz, 1 minute a cycle to 25 Hz, down to 20 minutes a cycle
- Each stepped output samples its sine, clocked by the other oscillator; an LED per oscillator
- 8 HP; Nonlinearcircuits publishes no current draw, depth or assembled price (it sells the DIY PCB and panel), and ModularGrid lists none
