Michigan Synth Works' 8 HP Streams: Mutable Instruments' open-source dual dynamics gate, in Jakplugg's derivative design, with Streams' stock firmware. Each channel runs its VCA and filter from an envelope, a vactrol model, an envelope follower or a compressor, set by its FUNCTION button and shown on its four LEDs, driven by its EXCITE input.

Key features

• Two channels, each a VCA and a filter (a VCFA) under one dynamic processor: envelope, vactrol, follower or compressor, and a hidden bank of five more
• SHAPE and MOD set each function's shape and modulation; LEVEL MOD scales the LEVEL CV
• The VCA's response, exponential to linear, on a small knob per channel
• METER shows the levels on the eight LEDs
• A power header with no polarity: it can be plugged either way
• Silver or black panel, each with its own engraving
