Description
The Serge ÷N Comparator is Random*Source's Eurorack version of Serge Tcherepnin's NCOM, a comparator, a voltage-controlled pulse divider and a voltage-controlled staircase generator in one module.
Key features
- Comparator: CMP OUT is high while IN+ is above IN-, for logic decisions, threshold detection, pulse-width modulation or rectifying a sine or a triangle; IN+ with its attenuator
- Divider: ÷ OUT gives a pulse every Nth comparator pulse, N from 1 to 31, set by the 1 ÷31 knob and modulated through VC and its attenuator
- STEP OUT: a staircase of N steps, for whole-tone steps into a 1V/OCT input or a stepped control voltage
- A precision voltage source for improved accuracy
