Route 4

A latching signal router in 8 HP, made of two complementary sections. The top section is a 4-to-1 router: any of its four signal inputs can be mixed into its output, chosen by gate or trigger control inputs. The bottom section is a 1-to-4 router sending a single input to up to four outputs, normalled from the top section. Each section has its own gate/latch switch (a gate enables a channel while it is high, a trigger in latch mode toggles it) and a solo/multi switch that makes the channels exclusive or not. Unused routing inputs carry a precision +1 V, so pitch sequences can be transposed by gates or triggers. The signal paths suit control voltages, audio and gates alike, and ten LEDs show the state of both routers.
