Mutable Instruments' dual dynamics gate, in 12 HP: two analog voltage-controlled filter-amplifiers (VCFA) whose gain and brightness move together, driven by a digital EXCITE input.

Key features

• Four functions per channel, chosen with its button: envelope (EXCITE triggers it), vactrol emulation, envelope and filter follower, sidechain compressor; a second bank of five more (held button)
• SHAPE: attack and decay of the selected function; MOD: how much brightness follows, besides the amplitude
• LEVEL MOD: an attenuator for the LEVEL CV input, wired straight to the VCFA's amplitude; a small knob sets the VCA response, exponential to linear
• An 8-lamp bargraph showing inputs, outputs or gain reduction (METER button)
• Per channel: EXCITE, IN (+3.3 V when unpatched), LEVEL and OUT; the two channels can be linked
